Road and rail is a relatively new sector for Total
Steelwork, however the company has recruited key personnel with a wealth
of experience and knowledge in this field, from Contracts Managers to our
own fully trained ‘in house erectors.
Our most recent project has seen Total Steelwork involved in the renovation
of the existing bridge and the manufacture of a new footbridge spanning
the River Goyt in Brabyns Park, Marple. All the work was carried out under
BS5400 part 6 and was overseen by one of the country’s leading inspection
agencies.
We have also carried out works in both sectors for leading contractors in
this field including Edmund Nuttall in the rail sector under tight ’possession’
restrictions, and for Dew Construction Ltd. in the road sector under the
Highways Agency Sector Scheme contracts.
We are currently in the process of becoming ‘Link Up’ approved
with Network Rail. Our intention over the coming months is to be able to
offer our customers an alternative solution both in partnering and value
engineering. With the cost of raw materials increasing on a monthly basis,
the experience and knowledge offered by our staff to both Engineers and
Architects can often assist in major cost benefits to their clients.
Customer satisfaction, quality and safety are words that are easy to say,
however Total Steelwork believe these words followed by our actions are
key to the success we have achieved to date. |
